New signing at Fulham of England, Ademola Lookman is set to feature this Sunday in the English Premier League with The Cottagers, as the London-based club’s coach, Scott Parker believes the winger that arrived from RB Leipzig of Germany during the past week is in tip-top shape and ready to battle Wolverhampton Wanderers, megasportsarena.com reports.
It will be Lookman’s first EPL match for The Cottagers, after he got off the bench to replace fellow-Nigerian-born youngster, Josh Onomah in Thursday’s 3-0 loss to Brentford in the Carabao League Cup; a match in which the former Everton of England sensation appeared to be Fulham’s best player with most of their attacking threat unleashed by him.
There is now bound to be a continuum this Sunday for Lookman, who had 36 EPL appearances during his time with Everton, before sealing a permanent move to Leipzig last season and Parker noted that the former England under-21 international is eager for a second game in quick succession, despite noting that the lad lacked match fitness before his arrival at Fulham.
Parker said: “He’s not had a lot of minutes. He’s been training with Leipzig. It was good to get him on the pitch for 45 minutes. We saw in a short space of time the quality that he has, especially in one v one areas. Hopefully he’ll be involved in some capacity, whether that’s from the start or on the bench. He can give us exactly what we know he is capable of doing.”
