Super Eagles new boy Calvin Bassey is confident he can help Nigeria to seal World Cup glory, Megasportsarena.com reports.

The Glasgow Rangers defender came off the bench to make his first appearance for the Super Eagles in their 0-0 draw in Ghana on Friday.

Nigeria now have home advantage as they take on the Black Stars in Abuja on Tuesday in the second leg of the World Cup Playoff for this year’s finals.

Bassey predicted: “Obviously, we will get the win. It was an honour to represent this great nation.”

Bassey’s Rangers teammates Leon Balogun and Joe Aribo are also in the Nigeria squad and both started against Ghana on Friday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
