WCQ: Nigeria v Ghana: Super Eagles Invitation Stuns Akinkunmi Amoo

Akinkunmi Amoo is a shock inclusion to the list of players invited to the Super Eagles camp for the crunch World Cup playoff against Ghana and the youngster who dazzled for Nigeria at the  2019 Fifa U17 World Cup star is still in cloud 9.

The FC Copenhagen of Denmark forward is excited to be invited for the matches against the Black Stars.

“It’s really big for me to be with the national team for the first time. I’ll be leaving tomorrow and it’s going to be really exciting for me. It’s some incredibly important matches for the national team that are fighting to get to the World Cup finals, and I’m happy to be selected”. He told his club’s website.

Amoo has had an excellent Danish Superliga season so far with FC Copenhagen after his move from Swedish club. Hammarby where he scored 18 goals in all competitions.

Amoo had a full FC Copenhagen debut to remember last weekend, scoring the game-winner in a 1-0 win over FC Nordsjaelland in Parken on Sunday, tapping in from close range after a pass from Khouma Babacar.
