Victor Osimhen will return to action October 4 after over three weeks of inactivity, no thanks to a hamstring injury he copped in Napoli’s 4-1 hiding of Liverpool in their Group A opening game of the Champions League September 7, Megasportsarena.com reports.
The Nigerian striker was hauled off the pitch just four minutes to the end of the first 45 minutes of the match at the Diego Maradona Stadium in Naples.
This is a huge boost for Serie A Napoli, ahead of the club’s next UEFA Champions League game against Ajax.
Osimhen missed Napoli’s last three games before the international break and won’t be part of Nigeria’s international friendly matches against Algeria.
