Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis is reportedly ready to open the door to signing Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo, but it’s not a swap deal to have Victor Osimhen go the other way, Megasportsarena.com understands.
The Portugal captain remains determined to leave United this week before the summer market shuts.
Napoli have progressed positively, with De Laurentiis welcoming the terms proposed by agent Jorge Mendes.
Mendes has secured an agreement with United which would see them release Ronaldo from the final year of his contract, plus covering a majority percentage of his wages.
De Laurentiis is happy with the arrangement and is willing to make an exception on image rights to help get the deal over the line.
Meanwhile, any prospect of Victor Osimhen moving in the opposite direction will only be negotiated independently from the Ronaldo deal.
