Striker Victor Boniface has vowed not to look back after scoring his first goal for Union Saint-Gilloise in the Belgian League last weekend, reports Megasportsarena.com.
The heavily built Nigerian grabbed the winner in their hard-fought victory over Anderlecht and agrees with those who say that he is built like Romelu Lukaku: “Okay, I agree that my body is a bit like Lukaku”
Boniface made his debut in Jupiter League against Kortrijk two weeks ago and the Nigerian summer acquisition from Bodø/Glimt combines power with speed, and is difficult to put off the ball.
In the derby, he also proved his ability to score: with a crossed shot he found the hole after two minutes. After the break, he missed a second goal after a dribble by a hair.
“My goal is to win the title.” He said after their victory.
Boniface looks back on his performance and hopes the team keeps winning games even if others are scoring the goals: “It was an important and beautiful goal. I’m feeling good. No, that’s not a goal for me.
“I just want to help the team to win. If Union wins without me scoring, I’m happy. My goal is to win the title. That’s why I’m here, that’s what the team wants.”
