Celtic have decided to retain Tobi Oluwayemi as one of Ange Postecoglou’s first-team goalkeeping options, Megasportsarena.com reports.
Oluwayemi has impressed Celtic’s coaches including manager Ange Postecoglou and he has been on the cusp of the Hoops’ first-team this season regularly appearing on the bench with Joe Hart ahead of him in the pecking order.
Ange Postecoglou is a fan of the promising stopper and recently heaped praise on him after joining up with the first-team’s training regime.
“Tobi is an exciting young goalkeeper,” the manager said.
“We’ve kept tabs on him, obviously he was playing with the B Team, but I feel like it’s time we expose him to that first-team environment, particularly at training.
“He’s a pretty lucky young man, because he’s got an ex-England number one, and a guy who’s reached the very top as a goalkeeper training with him every day. It’s going to be priceless.
“I didn’t want to waste that opportunity, so we brought him up to the first team environment, he’ll be training with us regularly. And hopefully [we’ll be] watching him develop over the next couple of years.”
