Aston Villa of England youth team player, Tim Iroegbunam is relishing his first professional debut in the English Premier League and happy that it came on a day they got a stunning victory, megasportsarena.com reports.

Iroegbenum was the Nigerian-born lad to follow in the encounter at Villa Park, as Carney Chukwuemeka was not dressed for the fixture, which The Villans won 2-0 against Norwich City.

Adam Ndah was also missing for The Canaries, but Iroegbunam, who is already an England under-19 international as happy to get his full EPL debut on an evening of victory for Villa.

That was despite the fact that Iroegbunam was cautioned in the 61st minute and he was replaced 12 minutes later by Douglas Luiz, while Chukwuemeka was an unused substitute.

Five minutes before halftime, Ollie Watkins latched on to a long ball and rifled into the roof of the net and Danny Ings confirmed Norwich City’s relegation with the winner in stoppage time.

Consequently, Norwich were relegated from the EPL, as results in other games conspired against them, especially with Burnley winning 2-1 away to Watford on the same day.

Dean Smith’s team needed to avoid defeat against his former side or rely on Burnley not winning at Vicarage Road – but the permutation played out in the final 10 minutes as The Clarets overcame a goal deficit to take all three points.

Norwich pushed for a lifeline in the closing minutes but the hosts punished the Canaries in stoppage time as Ings collected a loose ball near the penalty spot, turned and doubled Villa’s lead (90+3).

Iroegbunam ended with six over ten marks for his performance on the evening, as the result, coupled with Burnley’s comeback at Watford, left Norwich 13 points adrift of safety with four games left to play.
