FC1. Union Berlin of Germany striker, Taiwo Awoniyi could eventually be on his way in full transfer to RSC Anderlecht of Belgium, following the Jupiler League side’s formal bid of five million euro submitted for a deal this summer.
Megasportsarena.com reports that, although Awoniyi has repeatedly declared that he would prefer finally playing for his parent club, Liverpool of England, especially after getting a UK work permit last month, he appears to be heading for Belgium instead.
The former youth international, who was in the same Golden Eaglets’ squad that had Kelechi Iheanacho and Isaac Success at UAE 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup, could now take after Stephen Keshi, Philip Osondu, Chidi Nwanu, James Obiorah, Ezekiel Umoh and Henry Onyekuru as the next Nigerian player o star for Anderlecht.
This is sequel to updated information out of Belgium, indicating that Anderlecht could achieve a major transfer coup in signing Awoniyi from Liverpool, as the striker appears inclined towards a deal, having already followed the club’s coach, Vincent Kompany on Instagram.
Local British newspaper, Liverpool Echo earlier reported that Anderlecht have submitted a five million euro bid for Awoniyi, who has previously played on loan at their Belgian league rivals, Royal Mouscron and KAA Gent, but The Reds are eager to get more for the youngster.
