Fatih Karagümrük of Turkey winger, Ahmed Musa has added his voice to words of consolation for Nigerian football fans, with a big pledge of revival, following the Super Eagles’ shock 1-0 loss to Tunisia at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Megasportsarena.com reports that, while Nigerians continue licking the wounds of Sunday’s anti-climactic end to the Super Eagles’ outing in Tunisia, the team’s out of favour skipper has declared that they will do better in their next game.

That will be in March against Ghana, when they first play away in the final match of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers, then host The Black Stars three days later.

Heading into those matches, which will determine if Nigeria would get a huge consolation ticket to Qatar 2022 or not, Musa stressed that everyone has to recover quickly and start planning for the next campaign.

The former Kano Pillars, VV Van Venlo of Netherlands, CSKA Moscow of Russia, Leicester City of England and Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia forward added that Musa has taken to social media to share his thoughts on the Super Eagles elimination from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations after a shock 1-0 loss to Tunisia.

The 29-year-old Musa, who has totaled 14 AFCON  appearances overall and wore Nigeria’s captain’s band in five of eight matches he started, insisted that the Eagles gave their maximum effort but admitted it was not enough to secure a berth in the quarterfinals.

Musa took to social media to express his feelings and he posted: “We gave our 100% but, unfortunately, that wasn’t good enough to take us through.

“In life, things wouldn’t always go the way we want them to and that’s something we have to accept however hard it is.

“We won’t give up, we will do better next time. Thanks for all your support and prayers.”
