Carl Ikeme recently returned to Compton Park to train with the Wolves number one goalkeeper Sa and John Ruddy almost five years after he was diagnosed with leukaemia, Megasportsarena.com.
After rolling back the years, the former Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper, who made more than 200 appearances between the sticks for the old gold, got to know the Portuguese now guarding that same goal.
On training with Ikeme, the clubs shot stopper said: “It was a very nice day, very nice training – I enjoyed a lot.”
The former Super Eagles goalie Ikeme, who last wore the Wolves number one shirt in 2017, exchanged deep hugs with club captain, Connor Coady and also Ivory Coast defender Willy Bolly before going on to the pitch.
Following a 12 month battle with acute leukaemia, Ikeme was forced to end an 18 year old Wolves career.
