The national football team of Sierra Leone is expected to land in Lagos this Wednesday, ahead of their flight to Benin City for next weekend’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria’s Super Eagles, megasportsarena.com reports.
While the Leone Stars are expected to land in Lagos in midweek and fly to the Edo State capital same day, their hosts will open camp on Monday and commence training the following day, ahead of the first leg of their double-qualifiers billed for Friday, November 13 at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.
The Eagles’ team officials and backroom staff are due in camp on Sunday ahead of the players, who are expected to start arriving the following day, as they are all expected to feature in this weekend’s games with their various clubs.
The Eagles will lodge at Eterno Hotel, while match officials and the delegation of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will be accommodated at Edo Heritage Hotel, while the Sierra Leoneans are booked to stay at Lush Hotel, where they will settle down after connecting a local flight to Benin on Wednesday.
