Manchester United of England’s fast-growing Nigerian-born youngster, Shola Shoretire has taken another massive step towards relevance with The Red Devils, as he has been named in their roster for a pre-season training camp.
Although he is yet to be officially confirmed with promotion to the main team at Old Trafford, Shoretire continues to impress the head coach, Ole Gonnar Solskjaer, who has now rewarded the fair-skinned teenager with another spot in his squad.
Megasportsarena.com reports that the latest lift for Shoretire sees him named among an elite list of United’s players in a roster of 27 stars that will undertake conditioning drills during the training camp in Surrey all through this week.
The build-up in Surrey will lead to United’s next pre-season game, against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road, which comes after a hard-fought 2-1 win over Wayne Rooney’s Derby County on Sunday, during which Shoretire was on parade at Pride Park Stadium all through the second half.
Shoretire, who wore jersey number 47 against Derby and produced a brilliant assist for United’s second goal of the game, is one of five strikers in the squad list and the lad, who played three competitive senior matches last season, will jostle for a starting spot with the quartet of Tahith Chong, Anthony Elanga, Mason Greenwood and Joe Hugill.
