Megasportsarena.com reports that the product of Diamond Football Academy of Umuahia was all smiles, after hitting target for the second straight match on Saturday and admitted it was a morale boosting feat for him.

The left-footed Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup gold medalist and third highest goals scorer also got a milestone of sort, as he got his second league goal of the season and took his tally to five in all competitions.

Dramatically, three of his goals have come while playing as a substitute in both LaLiga and UEFA Champions League, with the same occurring after he got off the bench to wrap up a good week that helped Villarreal achieve a 3-1 win away to Sociedad,

AOIFootball.com added: “Having scored in Wednesday’s 7-1 drubbing of Atletico Sanluqueno in the Copa del Rey, the 22-year-old returned to the bench for the trip to the San Sebastián, with the visitors hoping to stretch their unbeaten run to 4 games in all competitions.

“Senegalese Boulaye Dia had a golden chance to put the Yellow Submarines ahead in the hour mark but blazed over from 5 yards with the visitors going on to rue that chance as they conceded from the next attacking play.

“Robin Le Normand found striker Alexander Isak with a lovely pass, with the Swedish striker dancing his way past several markers before curling superbly past Rulli to put the hosts 1-0 up much to the frustration of the visitors.

“The lead could however last for just six minutes as striker Gerrard Moreno headed home a Dani Parejo cross to make it 1-1, a result both sides took into the interval.

“Things then turned sour for the hosts four minutes into the second half when captain Mikel Oyarzabal saw red for a reckless challenge with Sociedad needing to play the final 40 minutes plus additional time with a man less.

“Chukwueze was then introduced on the hour mark for Yerimi Pino, with the visitors going on to make the most of their numerical advantage as Moreno grabbed his brace seven minutes later as he headed home from an Alberto Moreno cross to make it 2-1.

“Moreno was then involved deep into added time when the Submarines broke free on a counter before he unselfishly passed the ball to Chukwueze who fired past the goalkeeper to make it 3-1 and seal all 3 points for Villarreal.”
