Chelsea of England’s Nigerian-born duo of Tammy Abraham and Ross Barkley have again been included in a list of players likely to be sold by The Blues this summer, megasportsarena.com reports.
So soon after both players faced tumbling fortunes in their international careers with England’s national team, Abraham and Barkley have again found out that hey are surplus to requirements under the London club’s German tactician, Thomas Tuchel.
Latest information out of Queensland now indicates that Abraham and Barkley are among a line of five players heading for the chop under Tuchel, who has been linked with Erling Haaland and Achraf Hakimi in the summer transfer window.
As he considers his summer targets, the German tactician is reportedly ready to sell five senior players and perhaps two more, as he aims to get some money on Barkley, Abraham, Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri and Michy Batshuayi as well as the likely exits of Andreas Christensen and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
A report by The Express added that Christensen and Palmieri were linked to a Hakimi swap deal and both carry significant value in any of Europe’s top leagues given their age and talent, while Alonso has plenty of demand in Serie A and La Liga.
The report added: “The real ‘juice’ resides is with Loftus-Cheek, Barkley, and Abraham, and English teams have long been willing to splash extra cash for English players as well as current and former Three Lions stars.”
