Victor Osimhen has promised Napoli fans a reaction after their loss to AC Milan last weekend in the Serie A and insisted that the title is still within their grasp.

He however said they must dust themselves off for the challenge at Verona on Sunday.

“The defeat against Milan still hurts, but we want to react immediately and redeem ourselves. The most important thing is to resume the road to victory right away. We are very sorry for the disappointment of Sunday but we are also aware of our strength.

“We will fight for the summit until the end and there are still a lot of games. We believe in ourselves and our fans who give us so much strength must also believe in us.

“Now we still have to think about Sunday. Verona is a strong team, they are in excellent condition and we’ll be playing in front of their fans, it will be a very difficult match, but we will give everything to seek success.”

Megasportsarena.com reports that the Nigerian, who is wanted by a plethora of clubs in England, believes they can still contest for the Scudetto and also make it to the Champions League next season.

“Our desire is first of all to return to the Champions League, playing such an important competition with Napoli would be fantastic. Of course we also want to aim higher. We still believe in the title and we know that winning the Scudetto in Naples would be an extraordinary event. Just imagining the atmosphere of Maradona is something incredible.

“The fans deserve so much joy and success. We will give everything to the end because we know we have so much strength and quality. I don’t just want to score, but I’d like to win many trophies with Napoli.”
