FC Barcelona Femeni of Spain attacker, Asisat Oshoala is relishing her haul of 15 goals overall for her club so far this season, following the hat-trick she netted this weekend, but she is still yearning for more, megasportsarena.com reports.
While downplaying talk about her personal record of goals in a single season for Barca’s ladies, the Nigerian female national team, Super Falcons’ captain enthused that her squad will keep firing on all cylinders.
She was, however, in cloud nine after taking top spotlight with her treble of goals in her team’s 4-0 trouncing of Real Betis during Saturday’s Primera Iberdrola clash at Estadi Johan Cruyff in the province of Sant Joan Despí.
‘Super Zee’ was in gleeful mood, after she bagged her fourth career hat-trick since moving from Dalian Quanjian of China to the European champions in January 2019, first in a loan deal before sealing a full contract at the end of the 2018-19 season.
Oshoala was again on top of her game, as she broke the deadlock in the 18th minute, doubled the lead with another close range strike in the 36th and made it a hat-trick just a minute to end of the half, but she opted to give credit to her teammates for making it possible.
Oshoala told her club’s social media channels after the match: “I think we had a good game, judging from the fact that we had a big win last week from the Supercopa game.
“We came into the game with more confidence playing at home in front of the fans as well so it’s a really good and interesting one for us.
“I’m really not aware but I’m really happy like I said earlier keep working for the team, I’m trying to get the goals as much as I can, also try to work so hard for my teammates as well whenever I get the opportunity.”
