Former Everton of England signing, Henry Onyekuru has declared that he is glad to be back at the club he believes it like ‘home’ to him, as he has officially returned to Galatasaray of Turkey, in a deal that takes him out on loan from AS Monaco of France until the end of this season.
Megasportsarena.com reports that this comes after the 22-year-old striker failed to settle at Monaco, where he got only four appearances this season and failed to score in all, despite arriving on a high from Everton, where he had been loaned to Galatasaray last term.
It is a return to favourable hunting grounds for Onyekuru, who was on fire last season with Galatasaray, on loan from Everton, and helped the Istanbul-based side win the Turkish Super Lig and FA Cup with 14 goals in 31 league appearances.
Before missing most of October with a hamstring injury, Onyekuru found the going tough at Monaco, hence his decision to move back on loan to Galatasaray, with which he hit a total of 16 goals and six assists in 44 matches across all competitions.
He will now aim for better pickings in his second outing at Gala, who are currently seventh in the Turkish Super Lig table halfway through the season.
Onyekuru, who first signed for Gala in July 2018, declared: “I am so happy to announce, Gala I’m Home! Ready to give all I have to help finish the season strong.”
