Brighton & Hove Albion of England defender, Odei Offiah has been left in awe by recent performances of Arsenal’s Nigerian-born winger, Bukayo Saka, who he described as a very amazing player that is extremely brave on the ball.

Megasportsarena.com reports that Offiah was reeling lyrical about Saka’s boisterous and precocious quality after seeing the Nigerian-born England international in action for Arsenal against Brighton in an English Premier League match.

Although Offiah admitted he would have loved being part of the day’s action with The Seagulls against The Gunners, he enthused that one big part of the game he enjoyed was seeing a fellow-young player make huge marks during the encounter.

Offiah, who has been named in Brighton’s matchday squads on four occasions of their last seven matches, watched proceedings from the bench as The Seagulls registered a 2-1 win over Arsenal at Emirates Stadium in London.

Despite The Gunners suffering defeat at home in that encounter, Saka twinkled brilliantly again, such that Offiah admitted he was thrilled seeing the youngster show the form that has seen him stand out this season.

With ten goals and five assists to his name across 36 games in all competitions, Saka was named PFA Fans’ Premier League Player of the Month for March and, while hailing the dark-skinned left-footer’s stellar performances, Offiah disclosed that The Gunners’ kid is one player he secretly looks up to.

Offiah, who made his professional debut for Brighton in a Carabao Cup clash with Cardiff City in August, told allnigeriasoccer.com: “I haven’t spoken to Saka before but he is an amazing player and someone who I look up to.

“He is a young player from the academy who has progressed to the first team and England national team, and playing at the highest level.

“What impressed me most about Saka was that he was always trying to affect the game and extremely brave on the ball.”
