Former Benue Buffalo of Makurdi handball club star, Obinna Anih has projected on what he stands to gain at his latest base in Israel, where the ace says he has arrived with a strong positive feeling, megasportsarena.com reports.
Speaking in the wake of his contract signing at Beer Sheba HC of Israel, the Nigerian handball international, who last played for Maccabi Tel Aviv across two seasons in the same country, declared that he is thinking of enacting a bigger impact in the coming days.
The exciting midfielder, who also previously played for Phoenix Handball Club of Gabon, disclosed that he thought deeply before making the move to Beer Sheba, where he now wants to live his long held dream of playing in the European Handball Champions League.
He now wants to hit the ground running and start making waves from the word go, as he aims to promised to repay the club’s coach, Avner Drori for putting so much trust in him, even as he also wants to make the best of his partnership with his pal, Ilya Mosenko in transforming the squad.
Anih told www.aclsports.com: “First of all, I want to give God all the glory for this major signing. I am really happy to join one of the big clubs here in Israel because I have hoped and prayed for this all my life.
“The vision of my coach, Avner Drori is to build a strong and formidable team. My dream is to lift the trophy with Beer Sheba and eventually play in the European Handball Champion League.
“I believe Ilya Mosenko and I have what it takes to make a change. I have a real positive feeling that I will be of great help to the team and I am focused about this.”
