Akwa Ibom’s victory headline the  concluding fixtures of the Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 24 matches on Thursday, Megasportsarena.com reports.

The Promise keepers were in a devastating form as they completely annihilated Nasarawa United 6-1 at the Nest of Champions in Uyo.

Four goals in the first half and two goals in the second half were enough for the Coach Ayodeji Ayeni tutored side to send warning signals to future visitors to Uyo.

Ubong Friday opened the floodgates in the ninth minute when he pounced on a rebound from a free-kick by Babatunde Bello.

Adam Yakubu doubled the lead following a tailored pass from Babatunde Bello in the 17th minute.

Wisdom Fenando’s quickfire brace would came in the 22nd and 29th minutes as the hosts coasted away with a four-goal advantage at halftime.

Nasarawa pulled a goal back 10 minutes into the restart through Moses Osanga but it counted for nothing as the Uyo boys continued to pile enormous pressure on the visitors.

Their persistence paid off as Babatunde Bello, who was very impressive throughout the first half, recorded the League’s 450th goal of the season with a belter.

Franklin Matib completed the rout with a fantastic finish from Leo Ezekiel’s through ball in the 82nd minute.

He kept his cool and fired home a sweet strike past Danlami Umar to score his first goal for the club.

Elsewhere, in Aba, Enyimba compounded the misery of 10-man Kano Pillars with a 4-0 bashing.

Victor Mbaoma scored two goals in the 31st and 64th minute, Emeka Obioma’s strike in the 74th minute made it three and Emmanuel Godwin put the icing on the cake in stoppage time.

Sunshine Stars halted Rivers United’s unbeaten streak in Akure with a 4th minute
