Newcastle United would reportedly be willing to double Victor Osimhen’s wages as a way of tempting him to St. James’ Park.
The Magpies are keen on a new forward this summer and Osimhen is a name that has cropped up on several occasions.
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, monitored by Megasportsarena.com, Newcastle can offer him twice what he is earning currently at Napoli in order to beat both Manchester United and Arsenal to his signature.
One stumbling block, though, could be that the Italian side are demanding a fee of around €100 million.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are also in the picture for Osimhen .
Spurs are eyeing the Nigerian as one of a number of potential targets ahead of next season, with Antonio Conte understandably keen to put his own stamp on this squad he inherited from Nuno Espirito Santo.
Tottenham remain behind Arsenal in the race for Champions League qualification, and it’s clear they’ll need to strengthen this summer if they are to be more of a competitive force in the future.
