Southampton of England youngster, Nathan Tella has come under focus ahead of his club’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League, megasportsarena.com reports.
Heading into Tuesday’s game at Saint James’ Park, much of the talking points have been about Tella, who various media outlets revealed has completed a period of isolation for Covid-19.
The Nigerian-born youngster is now expected to be in The Saints’ squad for the visit of Spurs, having completed his spell of isolation, sequel to a recent positive Covid-19 test.
However, while tella is expected back in Southampton’s midfield, two defenders , ack Stephens and Lyanco are still down with the virus, while Tottenham have doubt over Giovani Lo Celso for their trip to the south coast.
This comes after the Argentine picked up a calf injury in the warm down after Wednesday’s Carabao Cup win over West Ham United and was not involved against Crystal Palace on Boxing Day.
Spurs’ coach, Antonio Conte says he will assess those players who played against Palace ahead of the quick 48-hour turnaround, with Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) and Cristian Romero (hamstring) both out.
