Michael Olise Attracts Transfer Attention From Manchester United

1

Crystal Palace of England youngster, Michael Olise could follow the footsteps of Odion Jude Ighalo as the next Nigerian player to star for Manchester United, sequel to interest being expressed in him by The Red Devils.

Ighalo is on record as the first full-fledged Nigerian player and Super Eagles’ star to feature for the Old Trafford side, after England international, Remi Moses earlier did so, and Olise is now set to follow suit.

Megasportsarena.com reports that Olise is still dangling among four options for his international career, as Nigeria, Algeria, England and France are all remaining in contention for his eligibility.

While the tussle continues over his international allegiance, Olise will for now turn his mind on what happens in the summer transfer window, as United come calling, though his contract with Palace runs to 2026.

This is sequel to a report that emerged on Saturday indicating that United are keen on signing the 20-year-old dreadlocks-wearing creative midfielder at the end of this season.

The report by Manchester Evening News added: “United are scouting Olise, who is in his first season in the Premier League.

“Olise’s versatility and ability to play in several of the offensive positions is said to appeal to United management.

“Olise came through the youth systems at Manchester City and Chelsea before making a breakthrough at Reading.”
