Premier League giants have been dealt a massive blow in the pursuit of Crystal Palace star Michel Olise as contract extension talks commence, Megasportsarena.com understands.
Manchester United have been scouting Olise in recent weeks. As well as this, the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal have also been linked with signing the winger.
Olise is consistently linked with a move away from Selhurst Park after a stellar first Premier League season.
Reports from Selhurst Park indicate that Olise has stated his intent to stay at Crystal Palace. Contract renewal talks are also set to be in place.
However, Olise’s wage is rumoured to be staying the same.
The 20-year-old is likely just going to be offered an extension and no pay-rise. His current terms run until 2026. However, Palace also want to increase the release clause that Olise’s contract currently contains.
The release clause is around £35million which would be a profit of around £26million if he is sold at that value.
Palace would like to increase the release clause to a price upwards of £50m. If a price around this mark is agreed, it will be higher than the club-record sale of Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Man Utd.
