Arsenal of England youth team players, James Olayinka, Mazeed Ogungbo and Ryan Alebiosu all notched assists for The Gunners, as they helped their side cruise ahead into the next round of the EFL Trophy competition, megasportsarena.com reports.

Although Olayinka eventually limped of with an injury, he had done enough in tandem with four other Nigerian-born players in a 4-1 spanking of fellow-London-based rivals, Chelsea at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

The victory saw Arsenal move on to face English League One side, Wigan Athletic in the quarter-finals, with lots of credit going to the trio of Olayinka, Ogungbo and Alebiosu, who all started the game, while Tim Akinola and Joel Ideho entered as substitutes, but a bench role marred the day for young goalkeeper, Ovie Ejeheri.

Chelsea also had Nigerian-born Norway youth international, Bryan Fiabema get off their bench with 15 minutes left on the clock, while Prince Adegoke watched from the bench all through the encounter, in which Olayinka diverted a shot into the net to open scoring in the 10th minute.

He, however, to go off injured midway through the first half after suffering an injury he copped while blocking a powerful shot, following which Jayden Wareham leveled the score from outside the box on 38 minutes after a counter attack.

Arsenal, though, were back in front at the break courtesy of Biereth’s close range finish in the 42nd minute and it became comfortable for them in the second half with goals from Giraud-Hutchinson and Marcelo Flores, with Ogungbo and Alebiosu getting assists on the second and third goals.
