Cleveland Cavaliers of America youngster, Isaac Okoro has commenced observation of strict health protocols, as stipulated by USA’s National Basketball Association (NBA), following his positive test for coronavirus.
Megasportsarena.com gathered that Okoro is one of five Cavaliers’ players now down with the deadly respiratory disease, thereby ruling him and his colleagues out of NBA action this week.
The team is also facing the prospects of having their upcoming games cancelled, as the NBA look into the widespread cases of positive covid-19 tests.
The NBA outfit confirmed the development and disclosed that the Nigerian-born guard/forward last weekend willingly entered the health and safety protocols regarding COVID-19.
A report out of Uncle Sam’s country added: “Okoro entered the protocols Thursday after facing the Houston Rockets at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse Wednesday. During the game, Okoro played lights out, putting up 20 points in 22 minutes.
“According to the NBA’s COVID-19 protocols, fully vaccinated players, in most cases, do not have to quarantine after exposure to COVID-19. Unvaccinated players flagged by contact tracing are required to to quarantine for seven days.
“In September, Cavs general manager said that the entire team would soon be fully vaccinated. The Cavs said the team will provide further updates at the appropriate time.”
