Leicester City of England attacker, Kelechi Iheanacho is banking on his side’s sterling performance in Thursday’s UEFA Conference League fixture to boost their confidence for this weekend’s domestic fixture.
The Foxes will step out on Sunday against Arsenal for the English Premier League clash at Emirates Stadium, ahead of which ‘Kelz’ pointed out that his side are in high spirits and believes they will take The Gunners to the cleaners.
Megasportsarena.com reports that the former Manchester City lad, who got a personal lift with a goal in Thursday’s game, added that Leicester should be confident heading to London, as they are currently on a roll of good results.
Leicester have posted shutouts in their last three games and scored eight goals during a run of four wins on the bounce, which has made ‘Seniorman’ twice as optimistic, given that the Foxes have won their last two fixtures in the English top-flight.
In ten previous games played against The Gunners, six of which have been in the EPL, Iheanacho has managed to score a goal, while winning two of the matches, drawn two and lost six.
It is now upbeat all the way for Iheanacho, who directly participated in three of Leicester’s goals and netted against Stade Rennes of France in Thursday’s match, before which he provided assists against Leeds United and Randers.
Iheanacho told LCFC TV: “This game will get our confidence up going to Arsenal. I think we’re strong now, defensively and offensively. So, we’ll continue like that and hopefully the wins will come.”
