Iheanacho, Lookman To Miss Leicester City’s EPL Fixture On Thursday

Leicester City duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Ademola Lookman will miss this Thursday’s English Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur due to health issues, megasportsarena.com reports.

This much was confirmed by The Foxes’ coach, Brendan Rodgers, as the tactician disclosed that Iheanacho and Lookman, who missed their last game at the start of this week, will continue out alongside a couple of their colleagues.

The unstated report out of King Power Stadium infers that Iheanacho and Lookman have been ruled out of the fixture at King Power Stadium on Thursday, as they are among the group of players that either tested positive for coronavirus or are generally not well.

Prior to Iheanacho’s spell on the sidelines, he was involved with eight goals in 19 appearances across all competitions, while Lookman participated in four goals from 16 games, but they will miss their third game in a row.

This is because Iheanacho and Lookman were included in The Foxes’ last two matches, the first of which was away to SSC Napoli of Italy in the UEFA Europa League and then the EPL tussle with Newcastle United.

The Foxes have been hit hard by an injury crisis before the visit of Spurs, with as many as nine first team player including, Iheanacho and Lookman not available for selection but, while they asked the EPL for a postponement, Rodgers is sad their request was rebuffed.

Rodgers said : “It’s a similar group of players that have been out that will continue to be out but, apart from that, it will be the same squad minus Jonny and çağs.”
