Milwaukee Bucks of America’s Nigerian-born sensation, Giannis Adetokunbo (Antetokounmpo) was on top of his game once again and his form helped his side draw level in their series against Brooklyn Nets.
Megasportsarena.com reports that ‘The Greek Freak’ was all over the court, as The Bucks leveled their series in USA’s National Basketball Association (NBA) league semi-finals at 2-2 with a 107-96 victory over The Nets.
While the Greece international was in top shape, Brooklyn’s Kyrie Irving left after 17 minutes on court and 11 points and Kevin Durant was the only other Nets player to reach double figures with 28 points.
James Harden is still out injured for Brooklyn, the second seed in the Eastern Conference, while Milwaukee, who were 2-0 down in the best-of-seven series, recorded their second consecutive win at home, on a night Antetokounmpo netted 34 points and Khris Middleton got 19.
Same night in the NBA, Chris Paul and Devin Booker showed off their credentials by combining for 71 points as Phoenix Suns booked a spot in the Western Conference finals as they overcame Denver Nuggets 125-118 to sweep the best-of-seven series 4-0.
They will go on to face Utah Jazz or Los Angeles Clippers, with Phoenix riding high on the strides that have seen them score freely in the series – at least 116 in every game – and the fourth encounter in Colorado was no different.
Paul finished with 37 and Devin Booker had 34, with the latter adding 11 rebounds and four assists, while Denver were not helped by the ejection of MVP Nikola Jokic for a flagrant foul in the third quarter after taking a swing at Cameron Payne.
