FC Midtjylland of Denmark midfielder, Frank Onyeka could jolly well still be on his way to Brentford of England, following a declaration by a top shot at his present team that the Super Eagles’ rookie ‘is close to a sale.’
Megasportsarena.com reports that, although pundits, analysts and fans have become skeptical of recent about the actual chances of Onyeka making the move to Brantford this summer, a new silver lining appears to have emerged for him.
This is sequel to the words of Midtjylland’s coach, Bo Henriksen, while speaking against the backdrop of Onyeka’s absence from The Wolves’ 2-1 loss to visiting Odense Boldklub at MCH Arena on Friday.
Onyeka was conspicuously missing from the matchday 18 encounter, but Henriksen hinted that the FC Ebedei of Shagamu product is close to leaving the Danish Superliga club, and Brentford are still believed to be his next port of call, subject to a work permit.
While admitting that Onyeka is on the brink of a transfer, Henriksen inadvertently confirmed that Midtjylland want to boost their finances by selling the box-to-box midfielder along with Jens-Lys Cajuste and Sory Kaba this summer, hence all three’s absences against OB.
Henriksen told bold.dk: “In relation to Frank, it is probably close to a sale, I think, and in relation to Cajuste, it is probably also around there. Kaba is not mentally ready to play.”
