CSKA Moscow of Russia Ladies’ winger, Francisca Ordega will be in the hunt for a repeat of history when she steps out with Nigeria’s women national team, Super Falcons in Tuesday’s international friendly against Canada, megasportsarena.com reports.

Although the Canadians beat the eight-time African champions 2-0 in the first of two friendlies this past Friday in Vancouver, Ordega will take her mind back to 2011, when she helped the Nigerian team to a 2-1 win over the same country at the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Her late arrival at the Falcons’ camp in Vancouver meant she missed Friday’s game, but the gazelle from Benue State is now beaming with confidence ahead of Tuesday’s clash, for which she arrived on Sunday, amidst pomp and pageantry.

Consequently, the media department of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Sunday confirmed that there are now 18 players in the Falcons’ camp ahead of Tuesday’s clash in Victoria BC.

A report by allnigeriasoccer.com added: “Ordega is one of the senior players in camp having played for the Super Falcons in three consecutive World Cups 2011, 2015 and 2019, and has also represented the national team at U17 and U20 levels.

“The 28-year-old played the last eight minutes of the Super Falcons 1-0 win over Canada in the 2011 Women’s World Cup, the last time the two countries met in a competitive game.”

Super Falcons’ Fans Must Stay Up To Watch Friendly At 3:30am On Tuesday
