Arsenal of England youth team striker, Folarin Balogun could be on his way to joining Chuba Akpom at Middlesbrough, sequel to interest expressed in his signature by The Riverside outfit.
Megasportsarena.com reports that, with Balogun eagerly yearning for regular playing time on a higher level, the Nigerian-born England youth international is thinking of leaving Emirates Stadium on loan.
That has opened up speculation that he could be on his way to Boro, who previously had Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Victor Anichebe, Kenneth Omeruo, Sammy Ameobi and John Mikel Obi among their clan of Nigerian players.
The latest deal heading for The Riverside, though, could now be Balogun, who is reportedly set to become available for a loan deal from Arsenal early next month.
A report by football.london expatiated thus: “Arsenal believe an initial loan switch to the Championship would be ideal for Balogun.
“The striker has been in outstanding goalscoring form for the U23s and is seeking first team football. Boro are expected to move for Balogun in the first days of the January market – if not sooner.”
