Dominic Solanke and Bournemouth will be back in the Premier League next season after edging past Nottingham Forest 1-0 on Tuesday night, Megasportsarena.com reports.
Scott Parker’s side held a three-point advantage over third-placed Forest heading into one of the most eagerly anticipated Championship matches in recent history.
The Cherries started on-loan Liverpool centre-back Nat Phillips and ex-Reds forward Dominic Solanke at the Vitality Stadium, eventually securing a win thanks to Wales international Keiffer Moore.
Solanke set up the goal in the 83rd minute, as he played a clever free-kick into the path of Moore who rattled a composed finish into the bottom corner.
And they got the job done to seal the three points that confirm second spot.
Nigerian-born Solanke has scored 29 league goals to secure their promotion.
As the full-time whistle blew several players dropped to their knees while hundreds of fans invaded the pitch. Flares were let off while most players were smothered by on-rushing spectators.
They will join Fulham, who sealed the Championship title on Monday night, along with the winner of the play-offs.
Forest will now enter the end-of-season lottery along with Huddersfield Town and two of Luton Town, Sheffield United, Middlesbrough and Millwall.
The final at Wembley will be on Sunday, May 29.
