Dele Alli delights Everton fans with Instagram video of him singing ‘We are the Goodison Gang’ after his ‘game-changing cameo’ inspired the stunning comeback that secured Premier League survival

Dele Alli hasn’t had the best start to life at Everton but he has been able to win over supporters on a night where the club secured their Premier League survival.

The 26-year-old has struggled to make an impact since his January move from Tottenham and is yet to start a Premier League game for the Toffees.

But in Thursday’s 3-2 victory against Crystal Palace, Alli came on at the start of the second half with Frank Lampard’s side 2-0 down and produced what supporters hailed as a ‘game-changing’ performance to help swing the game back into Everton’s favour.

It was his finest moment in an Everton shirt and he delighted fans as they maintained their Premier League status.

He also seems to be settling into the Everton culture, as he posted a video of himself singing ‘We are the Goodison Gang’ on Instagram live.

Alli also shared a number of pictures to his Instagram story, including one of him with Everton coaches Ashley Cole and Leighton Baines.

He also shared an image of himself with team-mate Seamus Coleman, including the caption: ‘Living legend! What a man. Showed me what it was to be an Evertonian.’

His performance also caught the attention of former Tottenham team-mate Steven Bergwijn, who shared a post which read: ‘He’s had his critics all season and since joining Everton back in January, but Dele Alli was fantastic when he came on tonight.

‘From two goals down, he grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and pushed his team forward.

‘There is a serious player in there still, let’s hope he kicks on next season!’

Alli responded to Bergwijn: ‘Let them talk. What a night for the Toffees.’

Everton fans jumped on social media to praise Alli’s performance with one sharing a picture of Alli with the caption: ‘Appreciation tweet for this fella, changed the game and I’m looking forward to seeing him in the future.’

Lea wrote: ‘Get Dele a f***ing statue’, while Tom added: ‘Dele Alli has just kept us up.’

Lewis Wye tweeted: ‘I really want to see Dele Alli play more football next season.’
