Aston Villa of England youngster, Carney Chukwuemeka could be on his way down south to replace Switzerland ace, Granit Xhaka at Arsenal, megasportsarena.com reports.
Although the Nigerian-born lad is yet to fully cement his status at Villa Park, Chukwuemeka has been rated among the top future prospects in the English Premier League, hence keen interest coming his way at Emirates Stadium.
Details of the development indicated further that Arsenal are plotting a summer raid for the Nigerian-born youngster, whose brother, Caleb, is also making waves at Villa.
British newspaper, Evening Standard added: “The 18-year-old has impressed Gunners scouts during the nine games he has played for Villa in the Premier League this term.
“Arsenal like the look of the young no.10, and they believe his creativity and speed may give them what they need in the middle of the mark.
“Arsenal may even want to play Chukwuemeka deeper, as a replacement for Granit Xhaka, who could leave in the summer.
“Chukwuemeka is in demand, with the likes of Liverpool and both Manchester clubs also interested in his signature.”
