Caleb Okoli is turning heads in his new club, Atalanta and a lot is expected from the 21 year old who played his first game in the top flight in the Atalanta shirt last weekend against Sampdoria after the years spent in the Academy.
This was also Okoli’s Serie A debut.
A statement from the club shows how well rated the youngster is.
“It is a source of great satisfaction and pride for the Club to see the player who have come up through the ranks from Atalanta’s Academy to the first team cross such an important milestone.”
Okoli, a defender born in 2001 who joined Atalanta at the Under-15 level, started in the match.
He was loaned to SPAL in the 2019/20 season in the Serie B and he spent last season with Cremonese also in the Serie B, although Cremonese have been promoted to the Serie A this season.
