Watford of England summer signing, Emmanuel Dennis Bonaventure has received a charge to continue firing on all cylinders with The Hornets, in order to help them achieve a successful season back in the English Premier League.
This is the verdict of the club’s coach, Xisco Muñoz, who disclosed that he is hoping to see the former Kharkiv of Ukraine, Club Brugge of Belgium and FC Cologne of Germany hitman continue to impress for his team in their upcoming fixtures.
Megasportsarena.com reports that the charge should spur the 23-year-old to gun for another top-grade performance on Sunday, as The Hornets prepare to face Tottenham Hotspur, who have maximum points from their first two games of the new PL campaign.
Muñoz spoke against the backdrop of Bonaventure having been recognized as one of the top performers on the opening day of the season, as he scored on his debut and added an assist in his side’s 3-2 victory over Aston Villa.
However, while Bonaventure showed in that game that he deserved been selected ahead of The Hornet’s captain, Troy Deeney, he could not make an impact in the loss to Brighton, hence the charge from Muñoz, whose side returned to winning ways in the Carabao Cup.
They will now be spurred on by the euphoria of that victory, as they beat Crystal Palace 1-0, with Bonaventure playing the whole of the second half, following which Muñoz disclosed that he had been monitoring the lad for a while before sanctioning his purchase this summer.
Muñoz said: “We knew about him [before signing], we saw videos of him and we knew his level. It is important he continues with the same.
“He gives us very good things in the last games and it is important to give this attitude and level in future games.”
