Aribo Promising, Bazunu Excellent As Saints Fall 3-1 To RB Leipzig

Joe Aribo started life at Southampton with a defeat to RB Leipzig as they build up for next season, Megasportsarena.com reports.

The former Glasgow Rangers had a tidy debut in his new No.7 jersey as he provided a supporting role behind compatriot Nathan Tella in the 3-1 preseason game loss to the German side.

Aribo led the press well at times and popped up on the left and through the middle, though it was on the right side – combining with Walker-Peters – where he looked most impactful.

While Aribo had a good outing, the same cannot be said about Nathan Tella, who was average throughout the match.

It was not a fantastic outing for the 23-year-old who didn’t have too much service but equally didn’t always get into the best position to receive the ball. He made a good run once in a while but he feel short in the ratings.

Goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu started his Saints career off by pulling off a brilliant save to deny Dominik Szobozlai from the edge of the box after ten minutes. Plucked several crosses from the air and looked on point with his distribution.

He’s looking a good but for the Saints.
