The Sierra Leone National Team, Leone Stars will arrive Nigeria tomorrow, 4th June, ahead of their AFCON encounter with the Super Eagles next week Thursday, Megasportsarena.com reports.
The team will lock horns with the Eagles in Group A of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers scheduled for the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
The Leone Stars were boosted with the arrival five of their foreign based players-Bolton striker Amadou Bakayoko, who scored his first goal for Sierra Leone in 1-0 over Liberia in March, Kwame Quee, China-based striker Mohamed Buya Turay, John Kamara and Italy-based attacker Augustus Kargbo.
The duo Anderlecht winger Mustapha Bundu and Emden defensive midfielder Ibrahim Sillah should link up with the rest of the team before their departure for Nigeria.
12 out of the 25-man squad are in Conakry, Guinea with twelve more being expected, including Captain Steven Roy Caulker.
