A FIFA delegation will next week visit Ghana to inspect the Cape Coast Sports Stadium venue of the first leg match between the Black Stars and the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff.
Megasportsarena.com reports that both countries lock horns for a crucial two-legged encounter in the final week of March.
The Cape Coast stadium pitch is in a bad state after the celebration of the country’s 65th Independence Day just last Sunday.
Although Ghana’s National Sports Authority informed that works have already commenced to bring the pitch back to life.
The March 25 first leg match could be moved to a neutral venue if it fails the FIFA test.
Ghana’s request for the match to be played at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi has already been rejected by FIFA.
