The Black Stars of Ghana have been dealt a huge blow after it emerged that Jordan Ayew won’t be available for the World Cup Playoff match against the Super Eagles after testing positive for COVID-19.
The Crystal Palace forward was left out of the matchday squad that played Everton in the English FA Cup match last weekend because he contracted the virus, which effectively ruled him out of the crucial games against Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Megasportsarena.com scooped that Ayew’s Palace teammate, Jeffrey Schlupp wasn’t on the list of players released by the club for the international break.
The first leg of the clash between Ghana and Nigeria will be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on March 25.
The second leg is scheduled for the MKO Abiola National Stadium Abuja on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.
