Villarreal of Spain winger, Samuel Chukwueze is bound to play under former Arsenal of England coach, Unai Emery should the Super Eagles’ youngster remain with the club into next season, as the Spanish gaffer has been appointed to handle The Yellow Submarine on a three-year deal, megasportsarena.com reports.
Chukwueze is bound to get a feel of what Alex Iwobi and Bukayo Saka but had for a while with the Spaniard, who has been out of work since being sacked by Arsenal in November but now takes over at Villarreal after Javier Calleja left the club last week despite ensuring qualification for next season’s Europa League following a fifth-place finish in La Liga.
Should Chukwueze stay with The Yellow Submarine beyond this summer, he will play under Emery, who replaced Arsene Wenger as Arsenal manager in May 2018 and led The Gunners to the UEFA Europa League final and a fifth-place finish in the English Premier League.
Prior to a spells in charge at Paris Saint-Germain of France, Sevilla of Spain and Spartak Moscow of Russia, Emery coached Villarreal’s local rivals, Valencia from 2008 to 2012 and, as Sevilla’s boss, he guided the club to three consecutive Europa League titles.
