Norwich City are awaiting a decision from Chelsea on Thursday about whether they can take Patrick Bamford on loan.
The striker has been keen to stake a claim for a place in Chelsea’s first-team squad after a disappointing loan at Crystal Palace.
Chelsea were considering placing Bamford abroad with clubs in Spain keen to take him but are now mulling over Norwich’s proposal.

Bamford has attracted interest from Spain and Chelsea were considering sending him on loan abroad
The 22-year-old failed to score a goal in his limited appearances at Selhurst Park but remains a hot property after netting 19 times with Middlesbrough last season.
Having returned from Palace, Bamford trained with Chelsea’s Under 21s side and played in a behind-closed-doors friendly against QPR last week.
He scored twice in that game but is unable to appear competitively for the Blues as FIFA rules would forbid him from playing for another top-flight club this campaign.
