World Cup Playoff: Former GFA Boss Rallies Ghanians To Get Behind The Black Stars

Former Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi says the new Black Stars technical set-up and management team deserve a groundswell of support from all and sundry as they begin their assignment with the FIFA World Cup Playoff matches against Nigeria in March, Megasportsarena.com reports.

”At this time, as citizens of our country, it behooves all of us to rally behind them, spiritually, morally- whatever we can do support this team to victory in their quest for World Cup qualification.”

Serbian Milovan Rajevac was fired shortly after the team’s first round elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations and Chris Houghton was contracted as technical advisor with ex-international Otto Addo as the chief coach for the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup playoff games against the Super Eagles.

The former GFA boss wants a total support for the national team ahead of the crunch ties.

”We must get behind the boys and make sure they clinch the World Cup ticket. Nigeria has a good team but they are beatable and we must rally behind the team to achieve success next month.” Nyantaki also said.
