SSC Napoli of Italy striker, Victor Osimhen will miss this weekend’s crunch Italian Serie A clash with AC Milan, as he is not yet ready to make his return to full action from injury, megasportsarena.com reports.
Although positive expectations rose very high that the Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup top scorer could be part of the fray when he returned to light training last week, the medics in Naples insist he is not yet good to go.
Confirmation in that regard has come from Napoli’s media unit, which disclosed that Osimhen is yet to join full team training, but once again had personal drills at the squad’s last session on Friday.
The club’s media report added: “The Azzurri are preparing the match against Milan scheduled for Sunday at San Siro at 8.45 pm for the 18th matchday of Serie A.
“After a first phase of activation of the bull and ball possession, the team carried out exercises on set pieces and tactical work.
“Insigne did therapies and personalized work in the gym. Fabian and Koulibaly therapies and personalized work in the field.
“Osimhen did personalized training on the pitch. Mario Rui and Lobotka carried out the entire session as a group.”
