CF Talavera of Spain striker, Uzo Adighibe shot back into the spotlight with a well taken goal in the third-tier league, as he put behind him recent woes and upheavals, megasportsarena.com reports.
The 25-year-old attacker, who has been playing for third-tier Talavera since August 2020, has been in the shadows for a long while, but he made the best of his side’s trip to the Spanish capital.
Bright headlines are once again rolling in favour of the tall lad, who began his career in Spain with the youth team of CD Leganes, followed by spells with Atlético de Madrid, CD Guadalajara B, UB Conquense, Unión Adarve and Pontevedra.
The return to headlines for Adighibe comes after he scored with almost the last kick of the game to rescue a 2-2 draw against Real Madrid Castilla in a Spanish Segunda B clash at Ciudad Real Madrid Campo 3 on Saturday evening.
In Saturday’s game that marked his return to the spotlight, Los Blancos would have been sure they were going to take all three points as they led by two goals with seven minutes left on the clock, only for the game to take a twist.
Edmilson dos Santos halved the deficit in the 84th minute, before Adighibe, who entered the game as a substitute in the 71st minute, tapped in from close range in the fourth of minute of stoppage time.
Interestingly, Adighibe has made just two starts for CF Talavera this term but was forced off injured in both games, against CD Badajoz and CP Villarrobledo last month.
