Venezia of Italy right-back, Tyronne Ebuehi is bound to find another level of competition coming his way at the Italian Serie A club, as the Venice-based side have welcomed a new defender to their squad.

Megasportsarena.com reports that getting a spot in Nigeria’s roster to the recent Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon appeared to boost his image and status to a large extent, especially as he had found the going tough in recent time.

Ebuehi then returned to the club’s matchday squad for last weekend’s clash with Victor Osimhen’s SSC Napoli, only to end the evening with a red card, which could dampened his spirited fight back for relevance.

The fair-skinned lad’s well-celebrated move from ADO Den Haag of Netherlands to Benfica of Portugal never got off the ground due to injury.

His decision to join Venezia last summer has also not paid off as handsomely as desired, and now he needs to stay on tip toes in other to lay claim to a regular spot in the starting 11.

He is already suspended from Venezia’s next game, as the club that also have David Chidozie Okereke on their cards go to Ola Aina’s AS Torino on Saturday for their next Sere A fixture.

Ebuehi’s latest worry comes from a report that revealed: “Venezia have snapped up Czech Republic international defender Ales Mateju.

“The former Brighton prospect leaves Bresia to join the Serie A outfit to June. Mateju had his contract terminated by Serie B side Brescia this week by mutual consent.

“During the winter market, Venezia added Michael Cuisance, Jean-Pierre Nsame, Maximilian Ullmann, Nani, Sergio Romero and Ottar Magnus Karlsson.”
