Tino Anjorin has been spotted telling Thomas Tuchel he is ready to impress on Chelsea’s pre-season tour of America.
‘I’m ready’: 20-year-old Chelsea youngster goes to Tuchel and tells him he wants to play in pre-season training…and he got his wish, Megasportsarena.com reports.
The 20-year-old has been included in the club’s 29-man squad who are preparing for the season across the pond, following a loan spell with Championship play off finalists Huddersfield Town.
Anjorin has made four substitute appearances for the Blues so far, while also getting a start in the Champions league under Frank Lampard.
The striker position holds a massive opportunity for any of the club’s youngsters to break into the first team this season, with the Romelu Lukaku shaped void currently yet to be filled.
Anjorin, who has made appearances for the England U20 side, is one of those looking to make the step up this season, with the perfect opportunity to impress Tuchel arising in the coming weeks.
It appears the 20-year-old is prepared to fight this summer, with him being spotted already outlining his ambition to the manager.
When greeted by the German during a training session, Anjorin replied: “Yeah, yeah, I’m ready.”
It is likely the player is set to fight Armando Broja for a role in Chelsea’s setup next season, with the Albanian returning from a loan spell with Southampton last season.
