Nigeria’s national team, Super Eagles are bound to get another foreign coach within another ten days, if the words of the country’s football federation president are anything to go by, megasportsarena.com reports.
Information reaching megasportsarena.com indicates that the president of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Melvin Amaju Pinnick believes the issue of the Eagles’ new trainer will be settled before a fortnight runs out.
He added that this development is sequel to an agreement reached by all members of the NFF’s executive committee, who the former Delta State Football Association chairman says are eager to get the Eagles back flying again.
With that target in view, Pinnick declared that the NFF’s egg heads have decided that a foreign coach will be appointed for the Eagles within the next ten days.
The NFF supremo was, however, noncommittal on the issue of Portuguese tactician, Jose Peseiro, who had initially been announced as the Eagles’ new coach before the recent Africa Cup of Nations, but the deal fell through due to financial issues in the proposed contract.
Pinnick expatiated: “It’s not impossible but would he (Peseiro) want to come?
“If he would want to come then it will be a major plus for us because it shows that he loves the country.
“One thing I can guarantee you is we are getting a foreign coach, within the next seven to ten days we’ll announce a foreign coach.”
